ShadowTrackr continuously discovers new assets related to your organization. The discovery settings let you control how this process works.
Automatically add subdomains
This setting is enabled by default. When enabled, ShadowTrackr will automatically add any newly discovered subdomains of your monitored domains to your asset inventory. This ensures your attack surface overview stays up to date as new subdomains are created, without manual intervention.
For example, if you are monitoring
example.com and ShadowTrackr discovers
staging.example.com, it will be automatically added and scanned.
If you prefer to manually review new subdomains before they are added, you can disable this option in your
Settings page.
When disabled, newly discovered subdomains will appear as suggestions (see
the Suggestions index) that you can review and add individually. This gives you full control over what enters your asset inventory, but means you need to check suggestions regularly to avoid blind spots in your monitoring.
